And we have been blessed with his.

As our first baby, he was the most difficult, terrifying, and wonderful challenge we had ever taken on. A HUGE learning curve for all three of us. This was probably the hardest time in our lives. Having four babies with multiple medical needs was hard, too, but in a different way. The leap into parenthood is truly a leap of faith. No matter what you think you know, it all gets erased when you take your bundle of joy home. You know NOTHING! Sleep deprivation on a level you can not describe. Struggles with breast feeding. And the screaming and crying!
But soon, it all settles. And the next thing you know, you have this wonderful little person. He smiles. He coos. And it just takes off from there.

How Mr. B turned out so well sometimes seems like a true miracle. He had his world turned upside down at the ripe old age of two.
But, here we are, seven years later. We have a bright, articulate, fun-loving, kind-hearted, beautiful boy of whom we couldn't be more proud.

Just a little side note:
We took the kids (all but Mr. J) out to dinner tonight in honor of Mr. B's birthday. Mr. B chose Applebee's. While we were eating, a patron came to the table and asked about the kids (not that unusual). We told her their ages and that we were celebrating Mr. B's seventh birthday.
A while later, the manager came by the table to drop off our appetizer and told my husband that the couple behind us wanted to pay our bill. It was the same lady and her husband (boyfriend?). Unbelievable. We don't know these people at all, but they wanted to treat us to dinner. I'd like to think our little angels in heaven had something to do with this! :)
